Harris changing Biden on price ticket gave Democrats anticipated bump from Arab American citizens

WASHINGTON — “As soon as he left, they were going to support her,” said Abed Ayoub, national executive director of the American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC), referring to the response of Arab Americans to Vice President Kamala Harris replacing President Joe Biden in this year’s election.

A recent ADC poll showed Jill Stein of the Green Party taking 45% of the Arab American vote, followed by Harris with 27.5% — a substantial jump from Biden, who had received just 7%.

“Undecided” polled at 17.9%, not voting at 6% and Donald Trump at 2%.

There are approximately 3.5 million Arab Americans across the country, with the largest communities in California, Michigan, New York, New Jersey and Florida.
