Armenia has officially recognised Palestine as a state, the Armenian Foreign Ministry said on Friday, raising the number of UN member states that recognise the statehood of the Middle Eastern country to 148 out of 193.
In a statement carried by Reuters, the Ministry said that Armenia supports the UN resolution on an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and is in favour of a two-state solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
