Muscat: Heavy rains are expected today in the governorates of South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta, the Hajar Mountains and Al Dakhiliyah deserts, said the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
The Civil Aviation Authority said in its alert: “Starting from 12 pm till 11 pm on Thursday March 7th rainfalls associated with downdraft wind expected in the Governorates of South Al Sharqiyah and Al Wusta ranging between 20-50 mm, and in Al Hajar mountains and desert areas in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate ranging between 5 to 20 mm, lead to flow of wadis.”
Poor horizontal visibility and dust storms expected during thunderstorms and hail.
